Ares S1 Coupé, painted by artist Daniela Boo for Art Basel Miami

ARES Modena, the Italian lifestyle brand, is preparing for Art Basel 2022 by collaborating with artist Daniela Boo to paint the front elements of the ARES S1 Coupé model located in its studio in the Miami Design District. An exclusive event will take place on November 28, 2022, at the ARES studio in Miami for 50 selected guests.

During the event, guests will be the first to admire the front elements of the ARES S1 painted by artist Daniela Boo. On the same day, a Miami mixologist will create unique cocktails with No.3 gin during Art Basel.

Art Basel is one of the most important events in Miami, where many collectors and connoisseurs gather in South Florida for the occasion.

The Modena-based company initiated a strategic shift in 2021, moving from being a provider of bespoke aesthetic enhancement services for the luxury automotive industry to manufacturing its own luxury models with in-house designs. The Italian lifestyle brand is now further accelerating with the creation of a new range of luxury electric mobility products, allowing ARES to pivot and capitalize on an even larger growth segment.

Alongside new product launches, ARES is also developing and expanding its network of studios, opening three new centers (Bologna International Airport, Milan, and London) by the end of 2022.

To support this ambitious plan, the Company announced in August 2022 the admission of three new shareholders with deep experience in the automotive, finance, and luxury sectors: Alfredo Altavilla, Boris Collardi, and Marco Bizzarri. They join the board of directors of ARES, alongside Swiss entrepreneur Philippe Gaydoul, who became a shareholder of ARES in 2019.

The company opened the Miami studio in 2021 to provide the North American market with a unique place to immerse itself in the brand's philosophy and product line. All products are handcrafted according to customer specifications using the highest level of engineering and the best materials.

Daniela Boo is represented in Miami by BlackTower Gallery, a contemporary art space located in the Design District. Its main goal is to connect art, collecting, and aesthetic enjoyment. BlackTower Gallery offers a wide range of creative proposals, governed by criteria of quality and constant experimentation.

The culture of art cars evolved in the 1960s, and there is a rich tradition over the years that has transformed a car's body into a new canvas for artists to showcase their talent and passion. Many of these artistic cars have been inspired by films or personal visions of the artist, in addition to providing a sense of individuality. Events have been organized across the United States to showcase these masterpieces, and there is growing interest in this type of artwork.

The combination of curves in the exterior body with art can create an emotional influence and awaken desire; it is about having a meaningful aesthetic experience. The fusion of forms and colors can give the vehicle a unique personality that expands the boundaries of design and craftsmanship.

The United States has one of the most unique and diversified automotive cultures in the world. The fascination and romance with the automobile have existed since the car was invented. The car was a means of individual independence and personal mobility to explore new cities in the intimacy of one’s own space.

ARES's unique facilities offer a new level of design, development, manufacturing, and sales of built-to-order and one-of-a-kind cars in the heart of Italy and through an expanding global network of studios. ARES's advanced facilities in Modena, spanning 23,000 square meters, opened in January 2018 and immediately set a new global standard for the design, development, production, and delivery of bespoke, custom-built, and unique cars by bringing all facets of coachbuilding under one roof.

Dany Bahar, CEO of ARES, along with his long-time business partner based in Dubai and ARES's executive chairman, Waleed Al Ghafari, founded ARES and saw the opportunity to elevate the coachbuilding business to another level of service by developing the world's first “concept to creation” coachbuilding facility. Together, they attracted a group of experienced and passionate multinational shareholders.

For the first time, all aspects of realizing automotive dreams are carried out under one roof in a fast timeframe and with an extremely high level of quality. This is a unique combination of resources from luxury car brands with principles and craftsmanship skills.
